David Battisti, Penske Transportation Solutions

Over the past year, as consumers and businesses alike relied more heavily than ever on transportation, logistics, warehousing and related services, Penske had to meet increasingly difficult challenges. Operating within the labyrinth of government orders, coupled with increased volumes and sophisticated attendance and safety policies and procedures, made meeting those challenges extremely difficult. Battisti led his team as it adapted to ensure the business continued to support their customers' needs. This included sending out the proper PPE, providing specific sanitation and safety guidelines to each location, educating a disperse workforce, and updating ever-changing legal requirements on a daily basis to ensure every employee felt safe and understood protecting them was the company's number one priority.

He also led a team that developed various field and operational teams with leaders addressing operational issues. They established a team of teams approach, allowing the entire company to allocate resources and responsibilities, and escalating solutions to an executive team leading the effort.
