I received a letter from the Office of Disciplinary Counsel giving me 30 days to respond alleging violation of the Rules of Professional Conduct when I was representing a client. I believe I can resolve this issue with the client and I will return the fee. Can the client then withdraw the complaint?

The answer to the question is don’t do it. Attempting to convince a complainant to withdraw their complaint with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel will only potentially increase the problems the lawyer is facing.
