Brenda Marrero, executive director of the Public Interest Law Center, was honored at the Philadelphia Bar Association Summer Quarterly meeting as the 2021 recipient of the Justice Sonia Sotomayor Award, which recognizes commitment to promoting full and equal participation and inclusion in the legal profession.
Past winners of the award include Sotomayor, the first woman of color appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
At the Public Interest Law Center, Marrero leads the organization's strategic vision and manages all aspects of daily operations and program work.
