Watching the news from nearly 7,000 miles away as thousands attempt to flee Afghanistan in the face of looming rule under the repressive Taliban regime can make one feel very helpless. But some attorneys are turning to the skills they’ve developed for years as advocates to help out any way they can.

“We as lawyers can save lives from our offices,” said Philadelphia personal injury lawyer Jon Ostroff of Ostroff Injury Law, who said he has been offering pro bono support to two families attempting to make it through the chaos at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul.
