Pennsylvania’s Independent Regulatory Review Commission has greenlit efforts to have the state join in a climate pact called the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, which is aimed at reducing carbon emissions through a cap-and-invest plan.

According to The Beaver County Times, Pennsylvania would join 11 other states into the initiative, and the IRRC voted 3-2 to OK the state’s participation.
