An elderly couple was awarded $2 million by a Chester County jury Sept. 9, which found that emergency room doctors at Phoenixville Hospital failed to properly treat the woman for a stroke.

Johanna Weaver, who was 75 at the time, was transported by ambulance to the hospital in February 2018 after her husband, Michael Weaver, called 911 to report that the woman fell and she was unable to move the left side of her body, according to court documents.
