Social media posts from the National Fraternal Order of Police that claimed a Black woman had abandoned her child during 2020 protests against police violence, when in fact the woman had been pulled from her vehicle and beaten by Philadelphia police, are now the subject of a lawsuit.

Attorneys with Philadelphia’s Mincey Fitzpatrick Ross announced that they filed a complaint against the national wing of the police union earlier this month.
