Robert Hoopes, a defendant in the bribery and extortion prosecution that took down Bucks County Magisterial District Judge John Waltman, has been disbarred by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s disciplinary board.

The order disbarring Hoopes is also effective in New Jersey. In 2019, Hoopes was sentenced to four and a half years in prison. He is currently incarcerated at FCI Cumberland in Maryland.
