Robert L. Hickok, Jay A. Dubow and Whitney R. Redding of Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders have entered appearances for the board of directors and some of its executive officers in a pending securities lawsuit. The case, which alleges that misleading financial statements were made to government regulators, was filed Aug. 30 in Pennsylvania Eastern District Court by Glancy Prongay & Murray and the law offices of Frank R. Cruz on behalf of Christy Musso, who is bringing a shareholder derivative complaint for the benefit of clinical stage biopharmaceutical company Ocugen Inc., which focuses on developing gene therapies to cure blindness and a COVID-19 vaccine. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge C. Darnell Jones II, is 2:21-cv-03876, Musso v. Musunuri et al.
