Sanderson Farms and members of its board of directors were slapped with a shareholder lawsuit Wednesday in Pennsylvania Eastern District Court over the company's proposed acquisition by Cargill and Continental Grain Company for $4.5 billion. The lawsuit was brought by the Grabar Law Office on behalf of Matthew Hopkins. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:21-cv-04389, Hopkins v. Sanderson Farms, Inc. et al.
