Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry announced that Philadelphia-based shareholder Jennifer Karpchuk was appointed to the Philadelphia Tax Reform Working Group by Mayor Jim Kenney and City Council.
In this capacity, Karpchuk will join other business and community stakeholders to build on the efforts of previous tax reform committees by studying and recommending changes to the city's tax code to support Philadelphia's equitable and inclusive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, the group is charged with the creation of an action plan for tax reform that will serve as the foundation of the Fiscal 2023 Budget and Five-Year Financial Plan to be released early next year.
