The dispute pointed out how disagreement over vaccination can strain previously harmonious co-parenting arrangements.

Judge Mark L. Tunnell of the Chester County Court of Common Pleas Orphans' Court Division said there was abundant precedent supporting state agencies' authority to enforce vaccination requirements, but a disagreement between co-parents of a 31-year-old with Down syndrome did not involve a statute, prosecution or issues of police power.
