The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has agreed to hear argument over whether a wrongful death verdict was improperly reduced from $6 million to $2 million given that the defendants never challenged the general verdict slip given to the jury.

Allocator was granted by order of the court Oct. 19 in the case of Cowher v. Kodali. Previously the state Superior Court granted defendant St. Luke’s Health Network’s request for a new trial on damages for plaintiff Karen Cowher’s survival claims related to the alleged failure to diagnose her late husband’s coronary artery disease.
