After struggling to hold onto attorneys while its founding partner recedes from active management, Pittsburgh-based construction boutique Blumling & Gusky is considering combining its practice with another firm, sources familiar with the matter say.

Regarded as one of the most aggressive players in the Pittsburgh construction and real estate scene for the 23 years since its inception, Blumling & Gusky lost at least five attorneys in 2021, according to an analysis of internet archives that were confirmed by multiple sources with knowledge of the firm. The firm currently lists 11 attorneys on its website.
