Gawthrop Greenwood, which boasts a history of more than a century, has established itself as a feeder to the bench. Anthony Verwey, elected as a Democrat to the Chester County Common Pleas Court, is the latest to make the leap.

JudgesSince its inception in 1904, West Chester-founded Gawthrop Greenwood has supplied the Chester County Court of Common Pleas with seven judges. The most recent attorney in that line, partner Anthony T. Verwey, is set to take to the bench in January 2022 after winning the seat in last week's election.
