Perry County Magisterial District Judge Michael Schechterly has pleaded guilty to inappropriate contact with minors, intimidating a witness and obstructing an investigation of alleged sexual misconduct committed by a state constable, Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced.

Schechterly, 58, of Newport, was charged in November of last year following an investigation into Schechterly’s misconduct toward children by the Pennsylvania State Police in conjunction with the Office of Attorney General, Shapiro’s office said. He pleaded guilty before Cumberland County Judge Jessica Brewbaker.
