Elected and Appointed

McNees Wallace & Nurick Chairman Emeritus David Kleppinger was reelected as vice chair of the Penn State University board of trustees at its annual meeting.

Kleppinger began his tenure on the board in January 2017 after being appointed by Gov. Tom Wolf. During that time, the board has undertaken diversity, equity and inclusion efforts—including developing diversity goals for the board's membership and creating the committee on equity and human resources—and selected Penn State's new president.

From 2006 to 2018, Kleppinger led McNees as chairman. He practiced as a member of the energy and environmental and McNees strategic solutions practice groups, representing large commercial and industrial consumers of fixed utility services, including electricity, natural gas, water/wastewater and communications as well as providers of these services.
