I saw the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has created a new organization called the Judicial Ethics Advisory Board. What role is that organization going to play?

The question is an interesting one because at least a lot of people did not think there was any need for this Judicial Ethics Advisory Board. The purpose is to provide guidance to Pennsylvania judges and to give them a little more certainty that reliance on the opinions of the advisory board would be given great weight by the Judicial Conduct Board and the Court of Judicial Discipline. The question is, is it really needed and can this create conflicts with the Judicial Conduct Board and the Court of Judicial Discipline?
