Renée Martin-Nagle, special counsel at Eckert Seamans Cherin & Mellott, was recently appointed by the Chinese Ministry of Water Resources as the co-chair of the international scientific committee of the International Water Resources Association’s World Water Congress. The international scientific committee is responsible for planning and executing the Congress, which will feature speakers on water science and policy from around the world and is set to take place in Beijing in September 2023.

Additionally, the United Nations’ Panel on Climate Change named Martin-Nagle as an expert reviewer for the draft synthesis report of the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, which will be released later this year. In this role, she will review and comment on how water resources, especially groundwater, will be affected by climate change.
