Once a necessity to comply with health guidelines, remote recruitment is now a tactic used by dealmaker-teams at Big Law firms to test-pilot having presence in a new market.
Take Goodwin Procter, which doesn't have an office in Philadelphia, but it's been hiring private equity lawyers locally. Its hires in the city include alumni of Duane Morris and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.
