Post & Schell has announced that principal Kelly L. Smith has been appointed as chair of the firm's toxic tort liability litigation practice group.
Post & Schell's toxic tort liability litigation practice group is composed of experienced litigators that serve as national coordinating counsel and/or regional "local" counsel for a range of clients in toxic tort matters through all phases of litigation and appellate claims. The group also has experience using alternative dispute resolution methods in these cases, such as mediation and arbitration.
Smith, who is based in the firm's Pittsburgh office, maintains a national litigation practice focused on general civil defense and toxic tort defense. Her clients include product manufacturers, product suppliers, contractors and premises owners.

J. Brugh Lower of Gibbons has entered an appearance for industrial equipment supplier Devco Corporation in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Zahid N. Quraishi, is 3:24-cv-11294, Graco Inc. et al v. Devco Corporation.
