Supervising Judge Lucretia Clemons, who oversees the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas trial division, has been leading efforts to work through the case inventory that accumulated through the pandemic.

According to Clemons, the historically change-averse criminal justice system’s switch to greater flexibility has not only helped to get case dispositions back on track, but has left her optimistic about the court’s ability to adapt and be resilient through future challenges as well.
