The Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas is beginning to crawl out of its backlog as juries return and the court schedules more trials. Just two months into her term as Montgomery County’s new president judge, Carolyn Carluccio painted an optimistic outlook of the court’s ability to clear the cases it has accrued.

“We are confident that with the hard work of each of our 24 judges, any backlogs created by the pandemic, no matter how daunting, will be eliminated or manageable by the end of 2022 and the administration of justice will continue unabated,” Carluccio said in an emailed statement.
