Litigators in Allegheny County say Pennsylvania’s second-largest judicial district has done a decent job of dealing with its case inventory during the pandemic, though cases are still moving more slowly than they were pre-pandemic.

According to data from the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts, as of January there were 11,525 pending civil cases in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. That’s a 7.5% reduction from the 12,460 pending cases in January 2021.
