Attorneys at Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel on Tuesday removed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against Copart, a provider of online vehicle auction services, to Pennsylvania Eastern District Court. The suit was filed by Smith & Cohen Law Group on behalf of Atlantic States Insurance as subrogee of Stone Auction. The complaint accuses Copart of selling a Mack truck that was involved in an accident involving a Stone Auction employee before Atlantic could inspect it in an effort to recoup the over $1.5 million payout to the injured party. The case is 5:22-cv-01177, Atlantic States Insurance Company v. Copart, Inc.
