Attorneys speaking at a CLE event on immigration options for displaced Ukrainians called on legal practitioners and the community at large to step up to help those who are suffering as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, but alongside their suggestions for how to provide assistance was a refrain that greater, systemic change is necessary to make a more meaningful impact.

Over 80 attendees tuned in to the virtual Philadelphia Bar Association event Wednesday to learn about how to help Ukrainians and other displaced persons navigate the complex landscape of immigration law. And, according to the panelists, that realm is a messy one, indeed.
