A federal judge granted final approval to a $12.2 million settlement agreement between consumers and Wawa over a 2019 data security breach on Wednesday, but employees involved in the suit say their interests were not properly considered in the proceedings. 

Haviland Hughes’ Donald E. Haviland Jr., lead counsel for the employee plaintiffs, filed notice Thursday that former Wawa general manager Shawn McGlade and his wife Karen McGlade were appealing the approval to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
