By the time you read this article, you are likely to have undergone implicit bias training, read articles about implicit bias in the legal profession, or at least know what implicit bias is. As someone who counsels and advises clients on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) issues and teaches DEI in the legal profession at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, I often get asked, "Now that I know how to recognize implicit bias, what can I do about it?" I strongly recommend law firms, corporate legal departments, law schools, nonprofits, and government entities evaluate their systems and processes to find solutions to interrupt bias.
