A former Phoenixville Area School District finance director was sentenced to 14 months in prison on Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to embezzling over $94,000 from the district.

Christopher Gehris, 47, of Phoenixville, pleaded guilty in February 2022 to embezzlement from a program receiving federal funding and admitted to stealing approximately $94,613, officials from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said in a press release.
