The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court is set on Tuesday to be the first tribunal to hear from lawyers for the two candidates locked in a close race to become the Republican candidate for a U.S. Senate seat.

Television host Dr. Mehmet Oz led businessman David McCormick by 902 votes out of more than 1.3 million cast and counted in the May 17 primary election. That places the margin—Oz’s lead is 0.07%—well within the standard for a mandatory recount, when elections are within 0.5%.
