In less than a month, Pennsylvania’s new Judicial Ethics Advisory Board is set to take the place of the Pennsylvania Conference of State Trial Judges and the Special Court Judges Association of Pennsylvania, creating a broader, more unified organization for judges to consult about ethical quandaries.

Brian Jacisin, the JEAB’s executive director, said in an email that the board members are gearing up for the July 1 kickoff of their work issuing opinions. He said the new board builds on the prior framework for advising judges but adds greater resources and perspective under a single organization.
