A woman who left her job as a litigation paralegal at Saltz Mongeluzzi & Bendesky in 2021 is suing her former employer over claims that the firm owes her for unpaid overtime.

Plaintiff Desiree Purvenas-Hayes filed a complaint against the firm June 6 in the U.S. District for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, alleging that Saltz Mongeluzzi violated the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act and the Pennsylvania Wage Payment and Collection Law by not compensating her for overtime she said she worked in 2020 and 2021.
