In 2016, Lin organized and co-hosted a citywide event in Chinatown, and worked closely with both state and federal trial prosecutors during the litigation of a high-profile matter involving a series of robberies and aggravated assaults targeting seventeen victims from the AAPI business community. More recently, she was appointed by District Attorney Larry Krasner to oversee all DAO matters involving hate incidents targeting members of the AAPI community.

She has conducted legal trainings for attorneys and community members on the fundamentals of ethnic intimidation, and was appointed to serve as a core member of a task force created in response to the assault of several AAPI students on SEPTA transit in November 2021. Since then, she has worked closely with her colleagues and stakeholders in the community in helping the victims and families of the SEPTA attacks in seeking critical resources and accommodations through the DAO and School District of Philadelphia, as well as helping to ensure thorough communication between the DA’s Office, victims, and members of the AAPI community.
