The Pennsylvania Supreme Court has agreed to examine the extent to which event hosts may be held liable for the actions of their intoxicated guests. The justices are set to consider whether a company that asked for payment to offset the costs of a business outing had illegally sold alcohol to an employee who went on to drunkenly strike a motorcyclist with his car following the event.

The justices on Monday issued their decision to grant allocatur in the case.
