Already having led to two lawsuits, the contentious 2019 send-off of former Inquirer columnist Stuart Bykofsky looks poised to draw its third litigation.

On July 14, Mark Schwartz, counsel for the retired opinion writer, emailed a letter to the attorney who recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of the Inquirer’s parent company late last month. The letter says if the newspaper doesn’t withdraw its complaint by midweek, Schwartz will file a wrongful use of civil proceedings claim, otherwise known as a Dragonetti Act lawsuit, against the company and its lawyers.
