A woman who alleges she was sexually assaulted during a massage that her son purchased through Groupon cannot sue the discount e-commerce marketplace in state court, but must adjudicate her claims in arbitration, a Pennsylvania appeals court has ruled.

On Monday, a unanimous three-judge Superior Court panel rejected arguments that the plaintiff should not be held to Groupon’s terms of use because she did not purchase the massage service, and instead granted the company’s preliminary objections compelling arbitration in the case.
