A federal magistrate judge allotted a quarter of an attorney fees award to a law firm that represented a plaintiff in the early stages of the National Football League concussion multidistrict litigation but did not handle the plaintiff’s settlement claim.

The remaining three-quarters of the fee award went to the firm that represented the plaintiff in his submission of a successful claim more than two years later.
