The Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued an opinion unanimously reinstating the pension of former Philadelphia County Municipal Judge Joseph J. O’Neill, who resigned following a guilty plea on two counts of making false statements to federal investigators.

O’Neill’s indictment alleged that on Nov. 16, 2011, fellow municipal court Judge Joseph Walters Jr. called him regarding a case he was hearing later that afternoon.
