Cohen Seglias Pallas Greenhall & Furman announced that attorney Matthew Skaroff is set to co-present a live 90-minute CLE webinar with interactive Q&A titled, "Strafford: High-End Residential Construction—Permitting Delays, Insurance, General Contractor, Owner's Representative."
In this Strafford-hosted webinar, Skaroff, and Robert C. Carlson of Koeller Nebeker Carlson Haluck, are set to advise construction counsel on the unique issues related to high-end residential construction. They will discuss the issues with delayed permitting and acquiring proper insurance, as well as hiring both an architect and general contractor that meets the project's needs.
Skaroff and Carlson will address what specifics should be in the construction contract and when an owner should consider hiring a representative to act as their "eyes and ears" on a project.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.
