On Aug. 27, law firm van der Veen, Hartshorn and Levin and Oasis City Church hosted a Back to School Bash.

The firm wished to make a contribution to the community with the start of the school year, according to a firm spokesperson.

Volunteers from the firm were able to give away nearly 500 book bags with school supplies. Kids who attended also got free haircuts, hot dogs and ice cream. Additionally, there was music, face painting and a moon bounce.
