Following is a listing of executive and legislative action from the week of Sept. 12. Both houses of the General Assembly were in recess at press time. The state House of Representatives was scheduled to return to session Monday, unless called earlier by Speaker Bryan Cutler, R-Lancaster. The Pennsylvania Senate was also set to reconvene Monday, subject to earlier recall by President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, R-Centre.

Abortion Access

Members of the Philadelphia City Council announced plans to introduce legislation aimed at protecting access to abortions inside city limits—including a bill proponents said would be one of the nation’s strongest privacy protection laws.
