H. Jeffrey Brahin of Brahin Law Offices recently presented a program at the Greater BucksMont Chamber of Commerce titled "Employment Contracts—Protecting Your Business."

The program reviewed the importance of employment contracts including covenants not to compete, non-solicitation clauses and confidentiality provisions. Brahin discussed the drafting and enforcement of employment contracts, criteria in determining whether a particular document constitutes a trade secret, and considerations in the validity of covenants not to compete. He also discussed the differences between independent contractors and employees.

Brahin represents business, real estate and individual clients in litigation matters involving covenants not to compete, trade secret disputes, business divorce, breach of contract and collection matters, commercial and real estate litigation, commercial landlord-tenant matters, wage and hourly litigation, evictions, mechanics' liens, injunctions and general civil litigation.
