Attorneys representing the Trump Organization and the Manhattan District Attorney's Office began selecting a jury Monday in the criminal tax fraud trial of the company former President Donald Trump built over decades of work in New York City real estate, among other industries.
The Trump Organization defense team, including Philadelphia-based attorneys Michael van der Veen of van der Veen Hartshorn & Levin and William Brennan of Brennan Law Offices, are first facing the challenge of selecting a jury in heavily Democratic Manhattan.

The suit, filed Dec. 11 in New York Southern District Court by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld, accuses the defendants of concealing the bank's 'pervasive' deficiencies in regards to its compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and the quality of its anti-money laundering controls.
