Galfand Berger announced that senior partner Gabriela Raful has been elected to serve as president of the Berks County Bar Association (BCBA).

As a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Raful is the first Latinx person to become president of the BCBA. She is also the first racial minority, first naturalized American citizen and youngest to hold the position.

Raful sat on the board of directors for the BCBA from 2017 to 2019 and was elected as vice president in 2021. She has served as chair of the minority law section since 2015.
