Volpe and Koenig announced that Robert S. Silver has recently joined the firm's Philadelphia office as a shareholder.
As an active intellectual property litigator, Silver has developed a global practice representing generic pharmaceutical companies particularly in complex suits involving paragraph IV challenges under the Hatch-Waxman Act regarding Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDA).
He has argued patents appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. In addition, Silver assists clients in all aspects of the pharmaceutical supply chain, from API manufacturers to distributors to manufacturers, in designing and patenting products and developing strategies to bring generic products and new products to the marketplace.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
