Global firm Dechert matched the prevailing scale first set by Baker McKenzie and Cravath, Swaine & Moore for associate year-end bonuses, in the first instance of a Philadelphia-based Big Law firm’s 2022 year-end bonuses going public.

Dechert associates who met the firm’s minimum billable hour expectations of 1,950 during the 2022 bonus year that ended Nov. 30 are eligible for the bonuses, according to a memo obtained by The Legal. Bonus hours can include billable work for clients, pro bono work, firm-as-client work and a maximum of 50 community hours, which a firm spokesperson said can include training and mentoring and business development.
