Wendy Buckingham and Alexa Laborda Nelson, attorneys in the Philadelphia office of Littler Mendelson, have been elevated to shareholder, effective Jan. 1.
Buckingham focuses her practice on employment litigation and advice work related to background checks and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).
Buckingham provides background check training to in-house legal and HR teams and conducts audits of background check processes and policies for clients. She has represented employers in a range of matters in single plaintiff and class actions, including claims involving discrimination, retaliation, USERRA, federal and state background check laws, and federal and state wage and hour laws.

The suit, accusing the defendant of selling knock-off Graco products, was filed Dec. 18 in New Jersey District Court by Rivkin Radler on behalf of Graco Inc. and Graco Minnesota.
