Elected and Appointed

Legal Aid of Southeastern PA (LASP), which is celebrating 22 years of service in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties, announced that attorney Carolyn E. Johnson will be LASP's new chief counsel, effective Feb. 1.

Johnson replaces Kesha James, who became executive director for Management Information Exchange (MIE).  James served as LASP's deputy director for advocacy from 2013 to 2022.

LASP has local offices in Bristol, Chester (Delaware County), Doylestown, Media, Norristown, Pottstown and West Chester. LASP provides quality legal representation to low-income and vulnerable clients in cases involving domestic violence, public benefits, housing, consumer and bankruptcy, employment, health, wills/powers of attorney, juvenile, elder law, disaster relief, expungements, veterans and more.
