On Sept. 12, 2019, plaintiff Kanif LaSalle, 4, was a student at Brightside Academy Inc., a day care in Philadelphia. Kanif was standing on a stepstool when another student stepped onto the stool with him and pushed Kanif onto the floor. Kanif fractured his left arm.
