I received a letter from the Office of Disciplinary Counsel that also has a one-page statement “Your Pennsylvania Bar License is at risk.” Is this something new?

The answer is yes, this is something new, and apparently it started last year. When a DB-7 letter is sent, this statement is now attached. A DB-7 letter is a Letter of Inquiry or Complaint setting forth the allegations. A lawyer has 30 days to respond. As noted in an earlier article, it is usually a very important practice to respond to such a letter.
